For the best things, you sometimes have to travel a little further – and that also applies to BistrOcean. It’s not located directly in the center of Hamburg’s harbor, but rather in the Fischereihafen, where one fish wholesaler stands next to another and where the fish couldn’t be any fresher. If you’re coming from the Landungsbrücken, you can perfectly combine your visit with a short ferry ride on Ferry Line 62 (departing from Landungsbrücken, Bridge 3) – just two stops to Dockland. From there, it’s a 5-minute walk, and you’ll be rewarded not only with the best fish sandwich, but also with the freshest fish, perfectly prepared.
If you decide to walk back to the Landungsbrücken afterward, you’ll pass by the Schellfischposten – the famous bar where the TV show “Inas Nacht” is filmed. A great combination for a relaxed Hamburg outing.
